The dolphins and manatees keep their own lazy time regardless of our silly Daylight Savings Time. The pelicans and gulls know when it's time to feed. The sea turtles have a very specific schedule, but they don't wear watches either. (Take the hint!) And the fish...well the fish bite when they see fit.
This 11-mile long spit of sunny, salty, sandy land has been around for centuries. Devoid of the hustle and bustle of traffic and crowds, you can feel it. Stand with your toes in the sand, slowly close your eyes, open your senses and breathe deeply. Your heart rate will slow, your persistent pressures will dissipate, and you will connect with this beautiful slice of land that most of Florida forgot.
